You will be based on one of our Jack-Up rigs operating in the North Sea. You report to the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM). With a constantly expanding fleet of jack-up rigs, semi submersibles and drilling barges we promise top of the industry equipment. This also enables our devoted employees to ensure that we deliver a service that meets our customers' high expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead a safe drilling operation As our new Drilling Section Leader, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that daily drilling operations are executed in accordance with Maersk Drilling procedures and safety regulations. To do so, you supervise daily activities on the rig, lead the drilling crew and make sure the operation is safe at all times. In terms of safety you specifically: • apply key elements of work environment risk analyses and emergency preparedness legislation in operations • keep the drilling crew well acquainted with all emergency procedures • ensure the drilling crew participates in emergency drills An important part of the position will be to stay up to date on content of the contract between Maersk Drilling and the Operator and keep the Operator Representative advised on progress. Finally, you ensure that work performed by service companies is according to good oil field practice. Who we are looking for Drilling Section Leader with extensive Jack-Up experience You are currently working in a similar offshore position with cyber base equipment and have been a Drilling Section Leader for minimum 1 year. You also hold a Supervisor Well Control certificate issued by an internationally recognized provider. You are confident working with IT and possess good English communication skills. Your background has made you conversant with safety management principles as well as quality and environment management principles. As a leader, you possess great interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation. At the same time, you are direct and get to the point in a respectful manner and you know how to lead the way. Finally, you are loyal, committed to the team and always think safety first.
