For our region UNA Onshore North headquarters, located in Ikast, Denmark, we are looking for an EHS Manager in Projects to ensure an effective integration of EHS in the business. What are my responsibilities? As an EHS Manager in Projects, you will primarily be responsible for overseeing and assuring alignment and compliance of EHS requirements with Siemens Wind Power’s EHS policy, functional strategy, performance targets and local legislation. You will be part of the Project Team and report to the Head of EHS Sales and Project Support. Furthermore, you will be: · Serving as the company’s focal point for all EHS issues and provide primary oversight responsibility for costumers. · Maintaining current knowledge of all applicable local EHS standards and regulations and updating local procedures as required. · Ensuring that appropriate levels of project management are made aware of EHS deficiencies and providing a recommended course of action to eliminate or minimize risks until the deficiencies are corrected. · Providing assistance and direction to employees on EHS matters. · Keeping project management informed of progresses and deficiencies of the EHS Program. · Investigating and reporting occupational injuries, illnesses, and accidents as required by local legislation and Siemens requirements, and providing the management with recommended actions to prevent recurrences. · Leading EHS activities and creating strong relationships between the Siemens Wind Power organization and Siemens EHS functions. · Developing project specific EHS plans through incorporation of customer, subcontractor and legislative requirements as well as company guidelines. · Assisting, training and supporting the Project and Site management. · Implementing EHS plans in close cooperation with the Project Team, including accident investigation and follow-up on incidents reports, inspections, site audits and EHS documentation. · Evaluating and updating risk assessments and method statements. · Providing on-site support as well as site inspections. · Reporting and investigating all accidents and incidents, including implementation of corrective actions. · Assisting the Project Manager in ensuring compliance with local legislation as well as Siemens procedures and policies. · Performing EHS assessments of subcontractors. · Monitoring the EHS performances of all subcontractors and ensuring that they deliver a proper standard within practical safety as well as documentation (risk assessments etc.). What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have an educational background on a least Bachelor’s level within engineering or another technical education, combined with management experience from a project organization within the wind or construction industry. Alternatively, you have a craftsman background combined with an additional health and safety education. · You have advanced knowledge of EHS legislation, OHSAS 18001 and British or European EHS as well as HSE management systems. · As a person, you are outgoing, decisive, change-oriented and proactive, and you possess a high degree of intercultural awareness. In addition, you are open to new ways of thinking, and you have a result and quality-oriented approach to your assignments. · You have excellent communication and English skills both orally and in writing and are an experienced Microsoft Office user. · You hold a valid driver’s license for EU and are willing to travel. · Preferably, you have experience with project management. · You are flexible and versatile and work well under pressure.
