For our EHS department in Service Wind Power we are looking for an EHS Senior Specialist to support us in the technical investigation of incidents, near-misses and continuous design improvements.. Siemens pursues a Zero Harm culture, and as a result we evaluate the design of our turbines in terms of EHS in order to predict and thereby prevent future accidents or incidents. As an EHS Senior Specialist for the technical investigation you will play a key role in this mission and thus hold a position of significant strategic focus. What are my responsibilities? Your overall responsibility will be to ensure the design of our wind turbines is evaluated in terms of potential incidents and risks for our service technicians and the customer’s onsite representatives. Specifically, your tasks will cover: · Fail safe design and technical investigation to prevent incidents. This is done in a technical perspective with the use of TapRooT · Support safety cases/gap analysis of the entire product life cycle of Siemens’ wind turbines. Each element of danger is evaluated in the Bowtie risk management tool to assess the impact and likeliness of an incident. · Presenting business cases to the Technical Safety Committee based on your investigations and follow up on the decisions made in this forum. You will be fully responsible for coordinating and weekly reviewing the progress of the decisions taken, incl. the evaluation of necessary actions to be taken. · Taking the necessary and decided lead on stop work orders, safety awareness, safety alerts and safety notes. · Supporting in reviewing and risk assessing relevant work instructions in terms of EHS requirements (in TeamCenter). What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have +5 years of experience in the field of predicting and preventing incidents from a technical point of view. I.e. you have a technical background and hold experience in using your competencies in the field of environmental health and safety. Industry experience will be deemed desirable but is not a prerequisite. Your past experience may also come from similar industries (like oil & gas, the shipyard industry or the like). · You are analytical in your approach towards a problem and able to assess the impact of it in terms of likeliness, potential harm etc. · Preferably, you a familiar with the use of the above mentioned IT suits, or you are a quick learner with the interest and ability to familiarize yourself with these applications. · You are fluent in English, written and spoken, and capable of cooperating at all levels of the organization and across different cultures. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
