For our EHS department in Service Wind Power we are looking for an EHS Specialist to support us in the technical aspects of the wind power service business. The main focus for this interesting position is providing technical EHS project support and taking part in testing new equipment and participating in various developments across the organization. Further you will be involved in reviewing essential safety documentation (e.g. work instructions), incident investigations and technical inspections. Siemens pursues a Zero Harm culture, and as a result we evaluate the design of our turbines in terms of EHS in order to predict and thereby prevent future accidents or incidents. As an EHS Specialist you will play a key role in this mission and thus hold a position of significant strategic focus. What are my responsibilities? Your overall responsibility will be to promote environmental, health and safety aspects within the design of our wind turbines, and mitigate potential incidents and risks for our service technicians and the customer’s onsite representatives. Specifically, your tasks will cover: · Fail safe design review and technical investigation to prevent incidents and other undesired situations. · Support safety cases/gap analysis of the entire product life cycle of Siemens’ wind turbines. · Review of risk assessments, work instructions and other relevant documentation in terms of applicable EHS requirements. · Take part in project work and other developments across the organization. What do I need to qualify for this job? · You have a passion for promoting EHS with advanced and complex installations · You have a technical background and possess relevant experience preferably from the wind power industries as an installation or service technician or engineer · You are analytical in your approach towards a problem and able to assess the impact in terms of likeliness, potential harm etc. · Preferably, you are familiar with the use of IT systems, applications and Microsoft Office. · You are fluent in English, written and spoken, and capable of cooperating at all levels of the organization and across different cultures · You are flexible for travelling up to approx. 40 days a year to our sites and regional offices In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
