DONG Energy Exploration and Production (E&P), a subsidiary of the DONG Energy Group, conducts upstream operations in oil and natural gas. We operate and participate in a wide range of offshore exploration and production activities in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Norway and the United Kingdom. The E&P business unit has experienced significant growth over recent years, and faces interesting new challenges in future across our expanding portfolio of exploration, development and production assets. Our Danish Organisation operates the Siri Platform with the satellite platforms Nini, Nini East and Cecilie and also the new field Hejre will be operated from this organisation. In this division we have a department in Esbjerg, Modifications Projects, which is responsible for execution of all B & C-Projects in E&P (a B-project is defined as a project with value DKK 500 mill. and a C-project is defined as a project with value DKK 50 mill.). For this Modification Projects department in Esbjerg we seek an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom (EIT) Project Engineer who will be responsible for project handling concerning execution of B- & C-projects. The candidate will be the link between existing operations and project, ensuring that the project delivers facilities that meet existing operations and maintenance requirements and experience. You will be based at our office in Esbjerg. Areas of responsibility You will be responsible for handling E&P B- & C-projects related to EIT engineering through all project phases, for fabrication and installation in close cooperation with the construction department and for 3rd party verification of design, fabrication and installation. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: Handle interfaces with other disciplines and departments (process, mechanical, technical safety, environmental, operation & maintenance, etc.) and Operations (on- and offshore). Participate in developing EIT project engineering concepts and strategies and Value Improvement Practices to ensure that the technology and associated costs meet the project objective. Ensuring that experience and learning from existing EIT systems are obtained from relevant parties and incorporated into the project and that the quality of work is of the highest standard while ensuring that all tasks and targets are achieved within the project schedule and budget. Perform offshore surveys, offshore execution of test and commissioning. Maturation on project ideas from the organisation. Expediting of functional acceptance tests at contractors, mostly for SCADA, PSD and ESD control system changes. Supporting facilities engineering activities relevant to the offshore and onshore facilities as required by the selected development concept. Assisting and participating in all project decision gate and technical reviews so as to ensure E&P´s technical quality objectives are met. Procurement and follow-up on documentation. Your profile We expect that you hold a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical/control engineering and have at least 5 years’ experience as a minimum in electrical/control engineering on technical projects in the oil and gas/petrochemical industry. As a person you are/have: Relevant electrical/control engineering experience with offshore oil & gas projects, preferably designed according to North Sea/NORSOK design codes and standards. Work experience with all relevant codes, standards and industry practice. Strong knowledge of legislative requirements relating to all EIT engineering design. Experience with project management. Preferably some operational and maintenance experience and practical knowledge of design. Experience from working for an oil/gas production company, or alternatively a contractor or supplier.
