For the Generator Department within Engineering in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an operational engineer to be responsible for the generators used in Siemens Wind Power. The right candidate can expect a position with exciting development opportunities. What are my responsibilities? Your primary tasks will be to take ownership of the generators used in our turbine portfolio. This includes follow-up on specifications and test methods in close collaboration with colleagues in R&D and external suppliers. Among the duties and tasks are: Following up on requirements & test specifications for the generator Participating in tests with suppliers and take ownership of conclusions Influence and drive purchase specification, test specifications Coordinating trouble shooting and root cause analysis of generators in field operation Project coordination of generator warranty issues Coordinating and specifying improvement activities with our suppliers Coordinating implementation and technical follow-up in relation to qualify new suppliers Participating in QA Audits at suppliers facilities Optimize design in order to achieve higher quality/reliability What do I need to qualify for this job? An education as Marine Engineer, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or similar Hands on skills for generators Knowledge of electrical and mechanical generator design principles Knowledge of electrical installation Ability to take ownership of requirement specification and documentation in general Practical experience with electromechanical designs Ability to review test documentation Ability to operate cross-functional with a high number of interfaces A structured, communicative and self-motivated approach Willingness to travel (20-30 days/year) Strong communication and English skills both orally and in writing Wind turbine knowledge is an advantage In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
