Would you like to help us ensure quality, efficiency and continuous development within wind power by building grid connections for offshore wind farms? Join us and become Electrical Engineer in our department Transformers & HV Components. Here, you will be one of our skilled specialists working with HV equipment in our substations. Together with your 21 colleagues, you will represent electrical engineering in our wind projects. We are responsible for planning, designing and purchasing components, eg switchgears, transformers, reactors and protection systems for onshore and offshore substations for wind farms. Additionally, some of our primary tasks are to follow up on projects and prepare tender documents, contracts and detailed designs. The department is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of five business units in DONG Energy. For more than 20 years, Wind Power has been working actively in the offshore wind industry, and as a result of this, we now have unique knowledge within this field. We use our know-how in all phases of our offshore wind turbine projects - from the early development phase, through the constructing phase to operation and maintenance. Safety is a focus area in everything we do. We have a strong market position, and we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. Preferably, you will be based at one of our Danish offices in either Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, our London office in the United Kingdom or our Hamburg office in Germany could also be a possibility on local terms and conditions. In all instances, you should expect some business travelling to our sites in Northern Europe in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility You will be joining a department with a result-oriented approach, both regarding task management and contract negotiations. As a member of our committed cross-disciplinary team of electrical engineers, you will coordinate tasks with project participants and suppliers of high-voltage components. Your daily work will comprise QA and project compliance with time schedules and budgets. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: specify technical requirements for substation components in tender documents evaluate tenders and enter into contracts with our suppliers coordinate supplies and systems during the planning and designing periods evaluate substation designs participate in factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests and final commissioning of the substations. Your profile You hold a relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering specialised within the field of high-voltage and be interested in working with wind farms. It is essential that your required professional skills are based on relevant working experience, including ideally experience with specification of and technology for 150kV-400kV substations. As we operate in an international environment, it is vital that you speak and write English fluently. You will perform cross-disciplinary work and cooperate closely with colleagues and external business partners, and it is therefore essential that you have an extrovert personality and thrive on working in teams. You will have personal drive combined with both an analytical and a responsible approach to your work.
