Our Flexibles team in Brøndby, Denmark perform total riser and flowline system design, engineering, procurement, manufacture, testing, documentation and delivery. Our flexible pipes are used in offshore oil and gas production for connecting wells at the seabed to the platform on the surface. We now have an opportunity for an Electrical Power System Analyst to join our design team where your experience and expertise with modelling of electrical power systems will act as a good foundation to your success in this role - working alongside Engineers and Technicians in a close cooperation on developing, designing, and qualifying new products and solutions for offshore oil and gas pipelines. An exceptional appreciation within applied electro physics, materials science and mathematics, taking theoretical challenges and turning them into solutions, are all critical to this role. You will be a competent individual with an ability to complete design tasks pertinent to strategic projects, working in collaboration with our Product Development Department. You should be keen to take on fresh challenges, develop your technical and interpersonal skills as well as expand your knowledge and experience and share them through a variety of exciting projects. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Apply theoretical knowledge within materials science, applied mathematics, physics, and electric phenomena on powered pipeline products • Create descriptive system models through mathematical expressions and software tools • Present your models to colleagues, in order to apply your findings in building and testing new products • Adapt and develop models based on experimental results and practical product design • Apply findings in building and testing new products • Perform daily tasks in the Product Development Department • Provide QHSE leadership ensuring personal/team compliance with legislation and Company policies and drive a culture that health and safety is our top priority • Ensure a high standard of professionalism is maintained and that customer care is foremost • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the work area and department • Be fully familiar and conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times • Limited travel when required as dictated by business need Qualifications Strategic • Has and uses the required functional and technical knowledge and skills to do job at a high level of accomplishment • Able to adeptly learn the context of a challenge and quickly integrate new skills • Uses a combination of logic, analysis, experience, wisdom, and methods to make sound, timely decisions and to solve problems Operating • Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines • Set clear, realistic, time-bound, and measurable objectives and goals • Be willing to provide colleagues with the information they need to complete their tasks and eliminate roadblocks • Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately Energy • Will be energised by challenges and drawn towards opportunities Organisational • Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing • Aspiring and keen to advance within the organisation Personal and Interpersonal • Imbued with a strong sense of customer focus (internal/external) • A candid team player who collaborates with peers to solve problems • Firm and diplomatic when negotiating Qualifications: Essential • Master Degree within Engineering or Physics, Electro Physics, Materials Science and Applied Mathematics Desirable • Master’s or PhD within Engineering or Physics, Electro Physics, Materials Science and Applied Mathematics Experience: Essential • Experience with modelling of electrical power systems • Experience with experimental verification of model
