Then this is your opportunity to impact the future and join the Converter Electrical & High Voltage department Technology & Service Solutions, Nacelle Power & Handling, Electrical Power & Control, Converter Electrical & High Voltage Converter Electrical & High Voltage (CEHV) is a part of Electrical Power & Control (EPC), which again belongs to the Technology business unit. EPC is responsible for technology and product development of nearly all medium and low voltage electrical components in the turbines: Converters (both hardware and control SW), Electrical control cabinets, Transformers, Switchgears etc. CEHV is responsible for converter hardware and other medium voltage components. We host highly skilled engineering competencies inside these domains and deliver solutions to a wide range of cross functional portfolio projects like minor product optimizations, next generation turbines and new technology projects. We are located in Aarhus, Denmark. Responsibilities: In the design process does each system get a certain reliability budget as well as a budget for operational expenditures (OPEX) allocated. The systems must report on their ability to fulfil the requested budgets during the design process. Further, in the continuous upgrade of existing products, a stretch in power range (or other stressing features) is often in scope and each system is requested to report on consequences of such a stretch. The Reliability Specialist position is opened to take the lead on our reliability strategy by strengthen our ability to answer the above challenges in a systematic and uniform way. The work includes among others: Development of reliability design guidelines – Not in general terms but directly to each sub-system and component. Evaluating and processing of component failure statistics from our field databases Follow up on failure statistics for all turbine type and establish or coordinate root cause analysis Identification of component stressors Definition of CTQs Development and deployment of failure prediction models (incl. OPEX) Qualifications of power components and electrical panels from sub suppliers Definition of reliability verification methodologies and DFMEAs Contribute to design reviews You will be coaching and guiding colleagues as well as deliver own contribution to projects Qualifications: Your qualifications include: A relevant master degree Minimum of 10 years of working experience incl. reliability Experience from power electronics design Good leadership and communication skills and capable of acting as a motivator Capable of defining the vision within the field of reliability and driving activities supporting the vision Good communication skills in English orally and written Capable of delivering short term results without losing the long term vision Competencies: We see the ideal candidate having most of these professional and personal competencies: Knowledge of principal physics-of-failure of certain electrical components Knowledge of statistical methods and processes in reliability engineering Knowledge of system engineering, of requirements, FMEA, CTQs, RCA, design of experiment Knowledge of reliability verification methodology, and of state-of-the-art test facilities Working knowledge of converter technologies with the purpose of establishing reliability models You have experience with supplier quality assurance You should believe in and comply to our values of Collaboration, Simplicity and Accountability You are process oriented and have a structured way to work You have a proactive and extrovert personality and can lead your surroundings with your good communication and stakeholder management You are a strong networker and able to build, develop and maintain relationships in a global enviro
