Our new Electrical Specialist will be part of the Engineering Support dept. which is a sub department of MHI Vestas Offshore Technology. The department supports all internal departments, for instance Service, Construction, Customer Management and Sales in all technical aspects of our turbines. Responsibilities: Your primary tasks will be: Provide technical back-office support on electrical component´s to Vestas Offshore project and service departments during project execution and service phases. Participate in product improvement development of solutions on new and existing turbines including offshore technologies. Ensure technical evaluation and approval of offshore specific components working closely with sub suppliers in realizing solutions. Participate in root cause analysis and turbine component inspections. Ensure efficient and effective technical evaluation and case handling of issues related to offshore technologies. Maintain and establish valuable networks within offshore and external offshore consulting, suppliers & industry workshops. Participate in technical clarification meetings with customers including technical due diligence. Provide documentation and material to technical reports on request from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind Operations and Projects. Qualifications and work experience: Proven track record with several years of electrical engineering experience, preferably within converters, generators and transformers. Strong cooperation and communication skills to ensure understanding of expectations, performance goal, and progress in a global business. Ability to work internationally with customers to support the business. Bachelor / Masters or similar education in electrical engineering – including interdisciplinary technical experience. Good computer skills and fluent in English, orally and written. Strong project management skills and understanding of market requirements within electrical engineering. Knowledge of electrical analytical simulation tools, Pro/ENGINEER and AutoCAD is seen as an advantage. High energy and drive to achieve good results whilst keeping excellent work ethic and maintain a good work attitude. Experience acquired in the on/offshore wind industry or in the energy sector is seen as an advantage.
