About the department We are part of Device Research & Innovation that manages the early phases of innovation in Device R&D, and we are located in Hillerød. We are a team of 11 creative and strongly committed employees, including mechanical and electronic engineers, with a shared passion for developing state of the art durable injection devices. You will be 1 of 2 electronic engineers in the department which means that your colleagues will be looking for your help, therefore the position requires that you build relations with other experts in the organisations. It is our responsibility to ensure that Novo Nordisk is ready with new and attractive durable injection devices, through a varying number of early stage innovations projects. The job You primary task will be to contribute to the conceptual design of our future durable devices, both on creating new innovative solutions and reliability. This includes design of embedded low power hardware with high focus on mechatronics. As part of this you will be responsible for specifying hardware requirements, implementing the solutions in prototypes and testing these and ensuring that they comply with requirements from both Novo Nordisk and the regulatory authorities. A big part of your job will be to coordinate hardware and mechatronics development activities with our external development partners. This requires high degree of collaboration, both with your colleagues in the department and in other parts of the organisation, as well as with our external partners. Qualifications You hold a degree within electronics engineering or similar. In addition, you have at least 5 years’ experience with integrating electronics into consumer and/or medical devices – or that provides you experience with products that are highly reliable, yet made for large scale production with a cost focus. Your experience should also include low power design for embedded solutions and embedded hardware design. You are expected to have a creative mind-set and a high personal drive. This role requires good communication and interpersonal skills as you will be working in a team with colleagues and external partners with different educational background and nationality.
