Due to continued growth and expansion, we now have an excellent opportunity available for a top calibre “Engineering Manager – Butter” in Silkeborg, Denmark, to join our evolving international organization. As Engineering Manager - Butter you will be responsible for all activities of employees in the team such as mechanical design, engineering and costing of Butter projects in Silkeborg. You will resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts; you’ll analyze technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects. You will also forecast operating costs of the team, manage and allocate team resources for execution of projects, provides direction and examples for interpretation and application of company policies and procedures to the engineering activities in the team. Additional responsibilities would include: •Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine engineering •easibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products •Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly •Ensure collaboration with Global Design Centre to maintain and develop the Butter technologies •Develop work standards and procedures that will increase department output and give en overall better effectiveness •International cross site collaboration with other Project Delivery Centers to ensure knowledge sharing and efficient project execution. Skills and Qualifications •Master's degree in Mechanical / Dairy / Electrical or Process Engineering or equivalent and four to six years related experience and/or training •Several years’ experience within the food, beverage or pharmaceutical businesses would be an advantage •Several years’ experience in leading teams with a high Engineering focus would be an advantage •Ability to read, analyse, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or governmental regulations •Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public •Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion •Fluent in Danish & English both written and verbally •Experience in using MS - Office and ERP tools •Team player, detail oriented, structured and persistent We offer You will be a part of the Project Delivery Center in Silkeborg which today consist of 40 engineers in 5 different business areas. As Engineering Manager Butter you will have an important role to supply complete butter plants on a global basis. The engineering department undertakes the responsibility of cost calculation, designing, testing and starting up the butter plants. SPX expect to grow the Butter business considerably over the coming years and as a manager it’s your responsibility to drive this growth and ensure team work and change management in the department.
