The Technology Strategy & Architecture (TSA) team in Nordea Group Functions IT is looking for an Enterprise Architect to create and evolve business and IT strategies as well as architectures along with related processes in alignment with strategy and business objectives. We are offering a highly challenging and intellectually stimulating environment where you will get to develop, guide and govern target architecture on a truly enterprise level. The position we offer Nordea Group Functions IT is an IT organisation with over 700 employees in total (offshore and offshore). Within Group Functions IT, the TSA team is responsible for developing the IT strategy and target enterprise architecture for Nordea’s Group Corporate Centre. Your responsibilities will include: •creating target enterprise architectures in own area including high level roadmaps for business, applications, data and technology that contribute to setting the direction and executing upon business area and group wide strategies •leverage on and proactively use the As is overview of the architectural IT landscape within own area in target architecture work •continuously improve own enterprise architecture competencies •mentor stakeholders in IT and business in enterprise architectural matters to build knowledge and demonstrate how to leverage enterprise architecture to deliver sustainable solutions •actively advise stakeholders and provide solutions to issues in order to achieve the enterprise target architecture •building relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to facilitate the alignment and improvement of the architecture across multiple areas •identifying possibilities for evolving the enterprise architecture to deliver reduced complexity, cost efficiencies, improved agility, reduced risk or improved business capabilities •actively engage with projects to ensure that the target enterprise architecture is aligned with the broader business area or Nordea target state. Nordea and the Group Corporate Centre have an extremely ambitious and challenging change agenda. We expect that this will mean an increasingly important role for the team to actively contribute to guiding and, in some cases, driving the “big picture” perspective. We expect the team to grow by approximately 10% per year over the next 3 years. The qualifications you need Given the size and nature of Nordea’s current change agenda, change is a constant and happening very fast. The number of stakeholders is large and need to be actively managed; in order to be able to cater to the strategic nature of the role you will need excellent stakeholder management. Being able to formulate strategies and concepts as well as adapting and responding to these changes will be key to this role. Furthermore we believe that you have: •a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical subject or in economic/finance •a minimum of five years working in an architect role, hands on experience as an enterprise architect would be highly valued •for one of the roles, there is a requirement of previous experience in the Financial Anti-Crime area (e.g. AML, KYC etc.) •previous experience in the Financial Services Sector is strongly preferred •good knowledge of data warehouse and business intelligence •good knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, ZACHMANN etc.) •knowledge about Hadoop/Big Data and Banking regulations (e.g. Basel, BCBS 239 etc.) would be considered an advantage •excellent English languages skills, both spoken and written.
