About the department
We are approximately 30 employees in the R&D department consisting of principal scientists, research scientists and laboratory technicians. You will become scientist in the Manufacturing Development team which consists of 5 dedicated and talented employees. The core expertise of the team lies in technology transfer of new products from laboratory to large scale production. Furthermore, drive cross-organisational and complex optimisation opportunities in NNPR by optimising existing processes and analytical methods. We work in close collaboration with our scientific colleagues at Novo Nordisk to develop optimal purification solutions for new and existing medicines to improve our patient’s lives. The atmosphere is relaxed and creative, and we always strive to improve the way we do things.

 

The job
Your key responsibilities will be coordination and documentation of development and technology transfer activities related to new enzyme products currently being introduced at NNPR. You will play a leading role in managing development activities outsourced to a contract manufacturing organisation and be involved in collaborations with Novo Nordisk on the enzymatic portfolio. Furthermore, you will be supporting the departments with scientific data and engage in professional discussions, and work with the team to achieve identified goals and deliveries within projects.

 

Qualifications
You are an experienced Chemist or Engineer, with a masters or higher level of education, with 5 or more years of experience in a relative field. Experience with enzyme recovery and purification would be an advantage, especially E. coli expression systems for the production of recombinant enzymes. You are a strong team player with a good understanding of the enzyme sciences. You have experience with project management and taking on project leader responsibilities preferably within process development. Your ability to stay focused, even during busy periods, helps to ensure that tasks and project deliveries are properly planned and executed. You acknowledge the value in co-creation, and understand how to produce results together. You put attention to detail and have a strong quality mind-set. You are dynamic, flexible and able to cope with change, dedicated to ‘making a difference’ and ready to ‘go the extra mile’ when faced with challenges.
