We are looking for an Event Adjudication Adviser to join our Safety Operations (SO) Event Adjudication department from 01 February 2015. About the department The Event Adjudication Adviser department belongs to Safety Operations, one of the functional areas in Global Safety. Global Safety is responsible for the global handling and reporting of adverse events to authorities, and the surveillance of the safety and quality of Novo Nordisk clinical development and marketed products. The department is situated in Bagsværd. The Event Adjudication adviser department consists of 20 highly engaged team members from various academic backgrounds; who work in a fast-paced environment reflecting the increasing demands from numerous long term clinical trials and regulatory authority requirements. In an increasing number of trials, certain clinical adverse events are required to be adjudicated. Event adjudication is a process where an independent review board of medical specialists assesses the relevant events for fulfilment of pre-defined clinical criteria. The job As an Event Adjudication Adviser you will be a driving factor between Safety Operations, Data Management, Global Development and external service providers dealing with event adjudication in selected projects. You will make the first assessment of the events and ensure that all documentation is made timely available for the final event adjudication. There will be administrative tasks, meeting activities, project meetings and telephone conferences. The job will require some travel. Qualifications You have a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably within biomedical sciences (e.g. Medicine, Pharmacy, Veterinary). Experience in pharmacovigilance, event adjudication, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or project management would be an advantage but not a must. The job requires proficiency in English, and in addition that you have high communication-, coordination and planning capacities, as well as flexibility and a strong quality mindset. You are proactive and like to work independently, as well as in a team. You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Package. You have excellent cooperative skills and a high degree of flexibility. As a person you are open-minded, dynamic, and eager to learn new processes and have a positive attitude to challenges. All training necessary for managing the job will of course be provided.
