Device Research & Development is an area within Global R&D, responsible for the development of medical devices for self-treatment supporting all business areas of Novo Nordisk A/S. Device Research & Development has a long and outstanding track-record of developing the best, most innovative and widely-used injection devices in the world. We are located at a state-of-the-art R&D facility in the greater Copenhagen area. About the department You will join an international development team of 25 highly skilled engineers and designers, responsible for the development of a next generation injection device. You will become a member of the Systems Engineering team (part of the development team), which is responsible for design control processes in the project including defining and managing requirements, safety risk management, design verification and validation including usability engineering. The job As the appointed Risk Manager, you will be responsible for safety risk management during the development of a next generation injection device from system to component level, including use error risk analysis, in accordance to the risk management plan. You will play an important role in improving and shaping the risk management processes in the development project. You will be given a broad range of responsibilities and experience a variety of tasks, working with stakeholders at all levels. Qualifications You hold an academic degree within Engineering with at least 5 years of experience with risk management and systems engineering. Your experience preferably comes from either pharma, automotive, aerospace, energy or other industries where quality, safety and regulatory compliance are vital to succeed. You have experiences with one or more of the following processes: safety risk management plan, risk identification and analysis, FMEA, HAZOP or risk reporting. You have the ability to analyse and understand complex structures and systems, and communicate them in a comprehensible way. You are self-motivated, ambitious and result-oriented. You are good at collaborating in teams as well as with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in oral and written English is essential.
