- Research & Development - Denmark - Måløv We are looking for an experienced scientist to work on automated high-throughput (HTP) antibody discovery and protein engineering. About the department The department Recombinant Diversity Generation is part of Global Research and has automated HTP molecular biology and protein production as core tasks. The primary responsibility of the department is to ensure timely support to the research projects with a broad range of HTP molecular biology technologies for cloning of antibodies, protein variant generation as well as HTP expression and purification of proteins. The position The position is in one of the two teams of the department (Diversity Generation 2) and as a scientist here your primary focus will be on antibody discovery and antibody optimisation applying techniques currently running on our Biomek workstations. We offer a challenging research environment where we work closely together with dedicated scientists across the organization, including core facility specialists within the disease-areas, immuno-technology, cell culture and protein technology fields. Qualifications The preferred candidate is an excellent molecular biologist holding a relevant scientific degree (biology, immunology, biochemistry, engineering or similar) supplemented with a PhD and preferably 3 years post-doctoral industrial experience within high-throughput automation of molecular biology processes. You have experience with development of automated processes, programs and procedures preferably for Biomek workstations. In addition, experience in working with bioinformatics tools, databases and handling large datasets is a must. Preferably, you have experience within antibody discovery and next-generation sequencing. You cover all aspects of the experimental work from planning and design of experiments over practical execution of the experiments to documentation and presentation of the results to both department colleagues and colleagues in the project teams. You further understand the intellectual property and practical requirements involved in the development of recombinant proteins for human therapeutic use. Efficient communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing are some of your core qualities as well as being flexible and capable of adapting in an often changing research environment. Good English capabilities are required for writing documentation and for efficient communication with colleagues in a multinational corporation.
