Your Responsibilities as Geophysicist Our current projects include geophysical services to a large number of infrastructure projects in Denmark and an increasing market in the rest of Scandinavia. Driven by a high level of ambition and a good understanding of the specific needs and requirements of individual projects, our goal is to provide internationally competitive consultancy services in close cooperation with our clients and with our colleagues in the Ramboll Group. As a geophysical specialist, your main responsibilities will include: •Participate in projects within your field of expertise •Optimise the use of geophysical services for each project •Leading development and innovation within the geophysical group •Participate in field work when required •Close cooperation with other units in Ramboll especially our group of Geotechnical Engineers and Hydro Geologists •Mentor junior staff We expect you to set high standards for the services we provide for our clients and business partners. You and Your Competencies We expect you to have a strong technical background within geophysics and experience from the consulting industry or as a contractor. You should have a relevant education as geophysicist, geologist, engineer or equivalent. You should have a creative personality and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. In the daily work you must be able to handle a large number of challenging projects and still focus on meeting the deadlines. As our ideal candidate for the position as geophysical specialist you are a team player and have: •Expertise in one or more of the following: Marine survey, UXO survey and clearance and/or processing of reflection seismic and marine multichannel data •Broad experience with geophysical field work; planning, performing and reporting geophysical surveys; interpretation of geophysical data •Experience with geophysical field work; offshore, nearshore and onshore •A proactive and energetic approach Any position as Geophysicist will require networking across the Ramboll organisation, and good abilities for cooperation and communication is thus a prerequisite. Join the Geophysical Department You will be a part of Ramboll’s geophysical team based in Copenhagen. Besides our team of 13 skilled Geophysicists/Geologists we have a variety of geophysical equipment for marine surveys, reflection and refraction seismic including a small seismic vibrator, different ground penetration radars including a 3D system, different equipment for electrical and electromagnetic methods and equipment for geophysical borehole logging. We are currently working on a wide range of projects. These include offshore and onshore surveys for infrastructure projects in Norway, the future connection across the Northern Harbour in Copenhagen, georadar for archaeological investigations in Lund, Sweden, several offshore wind farm projects and borehole logging for the future metro to the South Harbour in Copenhagen.
