Reporting to the Director for External Affairs and participating in the global leadership team of the function, the Head of Stakeholder Management will lead the company's plans to enhance business-wide capabilities corporately and within operating/non operated business units across the globe. We Offer This exciting new role will be accountable for embedding the stakeholder relations discipline in global business processes including business development and new venture exploration. The position holder will manage relationships with country leadership teams and the Maersk Group to improve central coordination of stakeholder planning and ensure the earliest possible involvement of professional tools in exploration, development and production projects. Leading a small team from the company HQ in Copenhagen, the Head of Stakeholder Management will work closely with a range of senior leaders including the discipline leads for Commercial, HSE, Legal and Sustainability. Opportunity to lead a business-wide Centre of Excellence within the External Relations and Communication function to channel existing best practice and knowledge from country locations into the centre – leverage expertise to support critical projects at the right time. Key Responsibilities Deliver a shift to more informed business decision making which is underpinned by thorough analysis and insights from a broad range of non-technical disciplines. Co-ordinate annual stakeholder plans from operating countries with dedicated reputation management professionals Work directly to support Managing Directors of non-operated countries to ensure effective delivery of stakeholder programmes Support Directors within Exploration and Business Development by ensuring effective stakeholder planning and analysis supports growth aspirations for the earliest phase of new projects – ensuring informed leadership decisions Improving the quality and consistency of stakeholder co-ordination within business planning process and performance contracts between business units and the Executive Team Identify, implement and manage tools for effective business-wide co-ordination of stakeholder management Who we are looking for 10 to 15 years’ experience in a corporate reputation, commercial or related function - preferably in an international Oil and Gas or an extractive industry. Knowledge and interest in international relations/geopolitical affairs is a critical requirement and a related field of post graduate study is desirable. Experience in a campaigning/governmental or policy and analysis environment will be strongly considered. Experience of working internationally with complex stakeholder networks is an essential pre-condition. A strong project leader, advisor and people leader, you must possess strong influencing and diplomacy skills and be able to demonstrate evidence of driving effective business decisions which take account of a broad array of reputational and above ground risks. Fluent English speaker with additional foreign language skills a benefit.
