We are looking for an engineer to support our bio production facility in Grindsted.

If you find the bioprocess industry challenging, a position as Fermentation Engineer in DuPont might be your next professional challenge.

We are looking for an experienced engineer with a highly professional approach to design and operation optimization.

As Fermentation Engineer, you will part of a technical team engaged in supporting the manufacturing of bioingredients and be responsible for a reliable supply and continuous improvement of bioingredient production.

You support the business by:

• Analyzing and troubleshooting production-/process issues at industrial scale
• Support and drive optimization of existing production processes to remain competitive in the market in close collaboration with manufacturing organization
• Introduction of next generation production strains of existing and new products and their corresponding processes at industrial scale.
• Introduction of new technologies at manufacturing scale as required by business demand.
• Improving the current process technology in collaboration with internal technical team and the manufacturing organization
• Develop Learning and Leveraging plan for taking Operations experience and translate this to Capital design.
• Support to internal/external manufacturing from regulatory, QC, QA and other support function from DuPont
You will report into the global Manufacturing Technology(MT) organization, and on day to day basis be part of the integrated operation team in Grindsted.
Together with the team you will:
• drive the technical Project Team in its effort to support technology, process efficiency and continuous improvement for bio ingredients
• set clear expectations and take responsibility for translating the overall goals into goals for manufacturing and the technical team, based on business goals
• set priorities for the different activities in the collaboration with internal/external manufacturing and the technical team and communicate effectively with the business, MT management team
• determine standard process costs, manage the production costs and make sure the recipes and procedures are up to date
• be responsible for the project savings and the reporting there

Job Qualifications

You are a Chemical or Biotechnology engineer, with experience in production and continues improvement of large scale fermentation processes. Preferable you have a Ph.D. or Master in Engineering (biotechnology/chemical engineering) with 3-5 years of experience from similar type of job.

Your know-how and experience will among others include:

• Practical industrial experience in following disciplines: process biotechnology, fermentation, process control, process optimization.
• Large scale production experience in aerobic fermentation for making of metabolite products is mandatory.
• Experience with project team work in a multi-international environment is a plus
• Familiar with technical aspects in a production environment, like IT, maintenance, process documentation and working with external partners.
• Strong drive and commitment to drive and management optimization initiatives.
• Fluent in English is mandatory, Danish is a plus
