Danfoss is on the lookout for a Field Systems Engineer who will take on an important role in our Industrial Refrigeration – Danfoss Cooling Segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical and applications support to our Industrial Refrigeration direct customers, contractors and consultants within the NER region, plus our wholesale channel partners. You will be a part of a small but dedicated international team and will refer to the Sales Director for the Industrial Refrigeration sales organisation. The candidate we are looking for is proactive and shows good communication skills, is customer focused and have a problem-solving mindset.
Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must be able to perform well and demonstrate expertise in the technical and applications support to our customers, partners and stakeholders. You must have 5 years solid experience along with a firm understanding of, how to work with industrial refrigeration (ammonia and CO2) applications and present fluency in English.A bachelors degree or qualification in refrigeration or a related industry would also be an advantage.
Areas of Responsibilities
- Serve as a critical extension of sales by supporting Account Managers and sales segment director
- Ensure proper selection, application and qualification of all Danfoss components
- Support customers during contractor project planning/execution or OEM product design phase, through sales channels in order to advocate for Danfoss by using product & application expertise as a value selling tool
- Ensure Danfoss products are being properly handled and installed at the customer’s factory or at the contractor’s jobsite as well as providing customer field support/troubleshooting during commissioning/service
- Ensure that critical application knowledge obtained in the field is communicated back into the factories to improve existing products along with the development of new products, platforms and opportunities
