Finance Student Assistant for Subsidiary Accounting

Copenhagen / Hourly-Part time / Finance-Accounting / Ref.: MO-077328 Maersk Oil is looking to add a student assistant to the subsidiary accounting team, to deliver high quality accounting, controlling, forecasting, reporting and business analysis for several small subsidiaries. The role provides involvement in the entire accounting process for assigned subsidiaries, and the opportunity to learn about the oil and gas industry. Expected work hours will be 15-20 hours per week, with opportunity to work more depending on your studies. The position will be time limited with possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities Bookkeeping for 3-4 small subsidiaries with low transaction volumes, incorporating day to day bookkeeping, cash management, valid accruals, relevant balance sheet reconciliations and currency revaluations. Monthly reporting from SAP to the Group's consolidation system (HFM). Ensuring compliance with IFRS and Maersk Oil accounting policies and best practices and documenting compliance of key internal controls (using the GRC system). Assisting the team in meeting the monthly reporting deadlines and other ad hoc duties. Who we are looking for We are looking for students currently enrolled in their Bachelor's (e.g. HA-ALMEN) or Master's degree (e.g. Cand.Merc.FIR Cand.Merc.Aud, Cand.Merc.AEF, Cand.Merc.ASC) and have minimum one year left of your studies. Knowledge of the SAP Finance system and work experience in an accounting environment would be an advantage. We are looking for a person who is structured and self-motivated, with a high attention to detail and quality. Must be team minded and work together to meet tight monthly, quarterly and annual deadlines in a timely and accurate manner. You should also be proactive and work with a customer service oriented approach.
