Do you want to give 40.000+ visitors a day the best possible experience? Do you want to create leading edge web applications? And do you want to work on the best and biggest social network for sports betting? We are looking for a Front End Lead to coordinate our efforts across many products and teams, push for smarter, more scalable solutions.

The role

As Front End Lead at Better Collective, you will be working with a team of talented and experienced designers and developers on our flagship product, bettingexpert.com. We have 250.000+ users and 40.000+ visits a day and we want to give all of them the best possible experience. We are currently rebuilding bettingexpert on a new foundation based on a service architecture and an Angular SPA.

You have the chance to join us in the quest for a leaner, higher-performing and leading edge product. It will be challenging and fun, and we expect you to be inspiring to work with and to contribute to the direction of the project.

In order to be a successful Front End Lead at Better Collective, you would want to deliver high quality code from the get go, work in an agile setting and always be pushing for smarter solutions. We expect you have to strong, well-founded opinions on front development and be creative in how to solve challenges. And we expect you to always take both users and search engines into account, when building pages. Hence, experience with Universal is a big plus.  

Minimum requirements

• Feel confident to set the standards for the front end development in Better Collective

• Are a specialist with 5+ years of professional experience with all aspects of front end development. SaaS product design.

• Speak HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript fluently and are always on the lookout to learn new things.

• Knows the ins and outs of JavaScripts and ES6 curiosities and shortcomings.

• You are a team player who can contribute to overall quality of a product and reason about your ideas.

• You are strong Scrum team member with Agile mindset.

• How to write optimal performing JavaScript / ES6.

• Needless to say, RWD is what you have been doing for years.

• Are passionate about CSS architecture and techniques and would want to take ownership of consistency and long-term decisions.

• You know one of the modern CSS framework: Foundation / Bootstrap / Angular Material

• Worked with MVC like framework: ReactJS, AngularJS / Angular 2+, VueJS.

• Are a wizard with CSS precompilers (we use SASS), Grunt tasks and you know exactly how an optimal front end development workflow should look like.

• Are attentive to details. You like reviewing and being reviewed and in your opinion delivering production ready code, also means delivering clean code, whether it’s markup, styling or JavaScript.

If you are our ideal candidate, then you

• Work according to TDD principles and used one of testing framework: Jasmine / Jest / Mocha / Chai.

• Have in-depth knowledge of TypeScript

• Know inside out of RxJS: Observables, Subjects, Operators.

• Have extensive experience with Angular 7 and know how to create high traffic scalable front end applications.

• Made impressive designs using Flexbox and Angular Material components.

• Understand Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment pipeline

• Can make your application deployable to AWS server and worked with virtualization tools like: Vagrant or Docker.

• Worked with Apollo and GraphQL and know how to model your domain logic.
