Frontend Developer, Workflow & Research Processes, Bagsvaerd Novozymes is playing strong on a journey to enhance business and scientific productivity through better exploration of research data across the organization. Our goal is to increase the productivity of the global science community by providing seamless and intuitive access to data and continue improving traceability of key research data. To support us reaching our objectives we are currently looking for a Frontend Developer to join the Workflow & Research Processes department, anchored in Scientific Data Management & Analysis within Novozymes Research. We are a team of IT experts and scientists who develop in-house data management systems to enable biotechnology innovation. As a Frontend Developer you will specialize in usability and in creating and maintaining compelling and easy to use user interfaces for our specialized scientific data and research workflow support platforms, which enable world class research. The core technologies used are in-house web applications, custom made to fulfil the different user needs. You will carry responsibility in any part in the process, from task definition, estimation and planning to specification, documentation, development, testing and deployment, and afterwards continue with maintenance and support If you enjoy challenges and have a self-driven but team working mindset, through this job you will have a unique opportunity of impacting and improving how researchers in Novozymes use data and systems to support their research. Notice some travel may be expected. In this position you need to have: - A Master degree in IT, engineering, computer science, or equivalent working experience. - Subject matter expertise in professional software development, specialized in front-end technologies, usability and design. - Practical experience with Modern Javascript frameworks (e.g. React.js based front-end stack), web standards and cross browser HTML5, responsive designs with CSS/SASS, interfaces that consume restful JSON web services, command line tools and node.js based tools, and unit and e2e testing of client side code. - Analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Collaborative and influential approach, with a strong customer focus. - Team player that proactively participates in both individual and team related activities, and can communicate appropriately at different levels.
