If so, you could be the Global Functional Safety Manager we are looking for. You will join our Power Electronics Division and have the responsibility to oversee the functional management system across the division. You will be working with our Electrical and Functional Safety Engineering team which consists of many dedicated colleagues. You will work with our Global Design Centres, Supply Chain and interact with customers globally together with our sales team. Your responsibility will be to ensure the electrical/functional safety of all Danfoss Power Electronics (PE) products – mainly frequency converters. Strengthen our functional safety management system You will be responsible for implementation of our Functional Safety Policy in accordance with IEC 61508 across the division covering all functions and sites. The Functional Safety Policy includes escalation processes to ensure that products shipped and on the market comply with the safety level stated. In details, you will: •maintain a functional safety management system to actively control the product life cycle •organise activities of functional safety products •carry out internal audits to ensure that employees are informed and trained within functional safety-related responsibilities •improve our functional safety-related products through audits and collection of market data •ensure that a list is kept of all products developed in accordance with IEC61508 •cooperate closely with our quality department to ensure that specific management system requirements are fully integrated in our management system and TS16949 •audit all sites in PE •report back to top management •represent Danfoss at the customers •be the company contact to TÜV You can look forward to working in a multi-cultural environment where you will have contacts across the globe among others customers and our main resource centres in China, India, the US, Germany and Denmark. Solid functional safety management experience You have an engineering degree or similar and solid experience with functional safety management and quality standards/auditing, preferably as a lead auditor. Knowledge of TÜV, IEC 61508/IEC 61800-5-2/IEC 61800-5-1 is a must. As such, you will need solid analytical abilities, good communication skills and focus on details enabling you to see matters from a functional safety point of view. You are customer-oriented, always focusing on providing the right solution. You have a strong team spirit and can build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures.
