Location Valby Organization Name Cement Division Professional Area Management Department Description FLSmidth is searching for a General Manager - Products & Upgrades Cement Division Continue to develop the sales performance of the company’s core products. We need you to set the strategy, plan our next steps and manage, train and motivate your team of dedicated sales representatives. Brief Description Ensure consistent and profitable growth You will be based in Valby, Denmark and head the recently established Products & Upgrades (P&U) function covering the EMEA & APAC region. Your role entails full responsibility for sales, project management and regional product line management relating to our key core products. As such, you set the strategy and ensure performance, profitability and optimization of our processes and action plans. Some of your specific tasks will be to: · Continue to develop the business unit and train your team to improve our sales effort. · Ensure the business unit promotes and sell FLSmidth core products both internally and externally. · Develop the strategy in close collaboration with Product Line Management and Project Sales. · Ensure strategic alignment across functions, making sure the business unit’s plan comply with the overall and long term strategy. · Establish budgets for each core product and develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth for each of our core products. Detailed Description Strong leadership skills and commercial acumen · You hold a degree in Engineering or Business and perhaps a MBA. · A minimum of 3 years of full P&L responsibility is required. · You probably have at least 10 years of experience with international product or project sales. · Previous experience from a commercial role within the cement industry would be a plus. · A track record of working successfully with top management of an international group would also be a plus Job Requirements As a person, you possess the communication and leaderships skills necessary to inspire and motivate your team. You have an international mindset, strong English language skills and perhaps you speak and write other languages as well. Finally, you should expect about 80 travel days per year.
