Global Category Manager, IT Software & Services
Want to lead us on our journey into the digital space? In this role, you will get a chance to work with a wide range of exciting new technologies as you help buy the right software and cloud services for colleagues across the global organisation.
Manage global software and services spend
As a global category manager, you will become a key point of contact for global and regional stakeholders for all software and cloud services’ needs. Thus, you are responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships, including new spend as well as renegotiations. This entails establishing good working relationships with our stakeholders, proactively understanding their requirements and formulating feasible sourcing strategies and plans. Moreover, you play an active role in executing plans and leading commercial negotiations with key vendors. Working out of our Billund office, you will:
- Co-develop and execute of the Software & Services category plan with stakeholders and other IT Category Managers
- Negotiate deals with global and regional vendors to support our overall business and commercial objectives
- Negotiate complex contracts with global suppliers (e.g. Microsoft, SAP, Oracle and IBM) and with providers of emerging technologies (Cloud - SaaS, IaaS, Big Data, Hadoop, etc.)
- Manage global suppliers, including scorecard design and reviews at tactical and strategic level
- Share best practices globally and help lead global initiatives through global category forums
- Drive sourcing plan execution and KPI management (PO compliance, vendor rationalisation and cost savings)
As this is a global role, you can expect some travel, about once every quarter.

Global IT sourcing experience
With your experience working in a global set-up, you are skilled at building strong stakeholder relationships from a distance. You are comfortable in an international environment and easily able to work through different communication channels. Moreover, you have:
- 5+ years of IT sourcing experience focused on software and cloud services spend, giving you in-depth understanding of global procurement processes and the software/cloud services vendor landscape
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business management with a focus on supply chain, legal issues or finance
- Significant experience negotiating global enterprise agreements with SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and other leading cloud vendors
- Experience reviewing spend data and developing action plans for optimisation and process improvement
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at Director/VP levels in fluent English
