Can you help shape the future of procurement? And can you build and develop strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with key suppliers? Then you could be our new Global Category Manager in Danfoss Indirect Procurement. At Danfoss, we are on a journey to continuously improve our productivity and overall business, and the procurement organisation plays a key role in doing so. You will be part of the Danfoss Indirect Procurement organisation with 50 employees worldwide driving the development of the Danfoss Group’s indirect spend on behalf of all four business segments and central functions. More specifically, you will be part of a global team working on optimising the procurement of products and services related to e.g. HR, consultancy, travel, and marketing, and you will take the lead on the Professional Services Category covering services such as consulting, engineering, legal and financial services. The position will be based at our office in either Nordborg or Kolding. Develop and implement global category strategies As Global Category Manager, you will be an important part of fulfilling procurement targets since you will take the lead on strategic and tactical sourcing activities, development of suppliers to ensure strong partnerships, and management of synergy projects with our internal stakeholders. You will have a wide range of contacts, both internally in the organisation and externally with your suppliers. In close connection with our internal stakeholders in the business, your main tasks will be to: •Develop and execute a global category strategy •Lead negotiations of both regional and global contracts •Build and develop strong and mutually beneficial partnerships with our key suppliers •Secure a roadmap of activities and projects for achieving cost optimisation and supplier consolidation in order to fulfil overall procurement targets •Continuously look for new ways for Danfoss to optimise how we do procurement Skilled procurement professional with a global mind-set You have a proven track record within strategic procurement and/or category management and are motivated by leading negotiations and sourcing activities. To do this, you have an analytical and cross-functional approach, and communication as well as project management come natural to you. If you already have experience with indirect procurement or procurement of services, it will be considered an advantage, but the most important thing is that you are eager to join Danfoss in further improving this area of procurement.
