In Danfoss Procurement, we are globally responsible for strategic and tactical sourcing freight services on behalf of Danfoss. Depending on your geography, your office will be either Nordborg or Kolding (with two weekly workdays in Nordborg). Estimated travelling is approximately two weeks annually. Develop and implement global category strategies As Global Category Manager, you will manage the freight suppliers within your category (e.g. Air, Sea and Express), as well as aligning and coordinating with internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting and developing the procurement category strategy, which is aligned with the overall Transportation strategy. Your job will be extremely varied and challenging, and your main tasks will be to: •Control the full tender process within your category •Lead negotiations of regional/global contracts •Cooperate and communicate with stakeholders both locally and globally •Identify global as well as regional saving opportunities •Report on KPIs, follow up and secure that KPIs are obtained •Facilitate and lead workshops with stakeholders and suppliers To be successful in the job, you should thrive on juggling priorities and navigating within the field of multiple suppliers and stakeholders. Skilled category manager with technical acumen and work experience To be successful in this position, we expect you to have a relevant educational background on minimum a bachelor level. You have a proven track-record within procurement or category management, and are used to managing stakeholders. Furthermore, it will be a strong advantage if you have worked in freight forwarding and have knowledge of pricing structures within different modes of transportation and insight into the key suppliers on the market. You have proven yourself as a successful communicator, and you are experienced in negotiating global business-critical contracts with significant value and importance. You are goal-oriented and proactive, and you have strong communication and project management skills. You have an analytical approach and have strong Excel skills, and you like working both independently and in cross-functional teams. Fluency in English is required for this position, and you must be based close to one of our Danfoss locations in Denmark.
