Can you implement, own and run a new, global set up for our distribution network?

LEO Pharma has set the ambitious goal to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner and we are well on our way but we still have some way to go. To make our vision come true, it is of vital importance that we succeed in simplifying our global logistics set up, and that is why we need you! You will play a key role in building and managing a new, global logistics unit as part of our new global supply chain organisation. The potential is huge, and you will work with full attention and back up from top management.

 Strategy, KPI’s, tools, metrics, role definitions…

As Global Logistics manager your overall objective is to create customer satisfaction because you ensure that each and every customer around the world gets exactly the same high quality logistics experience. 
Today, we distribute our products via local 3PL partners in 33 affiliate markets. The current setup is far too complex. As such, you will play a key role in implementing the future setup together with a Project Manager and be responsible for running the new set up afterwards. You will:

• Establish, document and communicate a clear strategic vision/development plan for alignment of the 3PL operation at a global, regional and local level – together with a Project Manager
• Consolidate global 3PL operation cost and service-based targets 
• Establish standardised metrics (cost, quality and performance) across 3PL providers
• Allocate roles and responsibilities to global, regional and local stakeholders
• Implement standardised, data requirements (cost, quality and performance data) with 3PL providers
• Implement centralised KPI management dashboards

Solid stakeholder management is key to your success, and you can look forward to travelling approx. 40 days per year to meet colleagues and partners, primarily in Europe.

 Solid operational logistics experience and 3PL market knowledge

You bring 10+ years’ experience from working with operational logistics in an international setting. As such, you have a deep understanding of the 3PL market and an additional ability to articulate a new vision and roadmap for distribution partners. Accordingly, you are used to negotiate and close fair deals of value to all parties involved.

You will need excellent communication skills including the ability to explain “Why”, “How”, “Who” and “When”, and you must be able to do it with due respect to professional and cultural differences. Additionally, you know how to motivate people around you in a positive way, and you might have considered taking your career into people management. Being part of an organisation in transformation you must also thrive in an ever changing world where we do not have plans and processes in place – you will contribute to creating those.

LEO Pharma’s reorganised Global Supply Chain organisation counts approx. 160 employees across production sites in Denmark, Ireland and France. A new site in Italy will be added in the network in 2019. The organisation is established to ensure best in class product availability for patients around the globe.
