About the position

Do you want to design, develop and deliver big scale production equipment? Together, we develop and implement the production equipment needed to produce Offshore Blades and Nacelles in Denmark, England, Germany and China. Your key responsibility will be to define, design, develop and implement equipment for new production plants and new production lines. You will work closely with internal departments such as Production and Process Engineering, Technology, Procurement and Quality as well as external suppliers around the world. 

What are my responsibilities in this position?

Striving to deliver equipment according to the agreed expectations your tasks includes:

• Design, develop, test and implement lifting equipment, platforms, machines, assisting equipment and tools following our standards and guidelines. 
• Ensuring high performance of new equipment with a focus on safety, quality and cost.
• Developing 3D design, 2D drawing and technical specifications.
• Project coordination for keeping track of project deliverables.
• Technical adviser during quotation and order placement. 
• Shop floor support in the installation and start of production phases. 

What do I need to qualify for this job?

We are looking for an experienced mechanical engineer with project management skills and personal drive. You thrive being involved in all project phases and working in a project culture characterized by cross-functional knowledge sharing. You know that collaboration and communication are key. 

• You have 5+ years of experience with design, technical specifications and documentation of production equipment – preferably from the wind industry or large-scale manufacturing.
• You hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or perhaps within construction, production or similar field.
• It is important that you possess project management skills
• You are an experienced and recent user of 3D CAD software - we use Siemens NX
• Experience with Team Center is an advantage. 
• Excellent English skills, both orally and in writing. 
• Willing to travel 30 - 40 days per year if necessary
