For our PLM Power Plant department we are looking for a Grid Integration Expert to join our team. In this department our key focus is on staying competitive in the market. PLM Power Plant is defining and scoping new solutions and services i.e. features to improve turbine and wind farm’s operational performance, system integration solutions e.g. power plant control, SCADA and Fleet management solutions as well as Grid integration solutions and E-BoP products. The department is currently under development and encompasses ten other colleagues. What are my responsibilities? Follow governing processes for Product Lifecycle Management, develop concepts for smart wind power plant products, features, solutions and services based on market and customer analyses and business cases. Specify, consult, approve and prioritize developments of grid related products and review ongoing developments and specifications. Trace and evaluate changing trends of international grid requirements. Analyze global market requirements with focus on grid connection, including evaluation of risks and initiation of escalation in case of high risks. Represent Siemens Wind Power in international panels and associations. What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology Management and Marine Engineering or the like, combined with some years of experience with product lifecycle management (processes, tools, methods). You possess proven knowledge of functional principles of generators, converters, power electronics and medium/high voltage technology on wind turbine level and/or in electrical networks. You have specialized knowledge of and a keen interest for international grid connection requirements as well as wind turbine capability and performance (incl. plant behavior and interaction with the grid). As a person you are result oriented, adaptive, analytically thinking and team-minded. We are looking for someone with proven negotiation skills and with fluency in English both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
