Lyngby Local/Expat Operations Ref.: MD-051348 Maersk Drilling is looking for an experienced executive leader with a broad skill set and a strategic approach to lead the team responsible for developing and implementing concepts and tools for customer engagement, performance management within operations, SCM, and cost management. We Offer As Head of Business Improvement and Support, you will manage four team leads and support a department of approximately 25. The Maersk Drilling Operations department is responsible for operational and financial performance, operational readiness and acceptance of new drilling units going into operation. Furthermore, Operations provide operational support to departments within the Headquarters, locations and drilling units. The department plays a key role in Maersk Drilling’s strategy to create value with a point of departure in customer needs. Maersk Drilling has spent the past several years ensuring our performance management processes and business intelligence systems are suited for continuous performance improvement. Now it’s time to take it to the next level by strengthening our ability to predict future trends and make appropriate strategic decisions to maintain a leading role in the industry. Key Responsibilities Your key responsibilities will be to further develop our value creation principles with methods that secure continuous high reliability and performance, while respecting our strong safety standards and ambition. Furthermore, develop your team and align their focus to the longer term strategy, which you will be a part of creating together with Maersk Drilling’s Chief Operating Officer. • Projects and Service Delivery The aim is to help the customers better meet their operational targets within safety and cost in a consistent manner. • Supply Chain Management Supply Chain Management is “outsourced” to APMM Group Procurement and works in close collaboration with Maersk Drilling under an SLA. • Performance Management and Business Analytics Plays a key role in our strategy to deliver added value to our customers and superior profit to our owners by providing Maersk Drilling Operations with performance management, process improvement, and business intelligence tools and processes. • Rig Performance Improvement Projects may include identifying key client requirements, and optimising the use of offshore equipment, organisational setup and rig layout. Who we are looking for • You have a broad operational background which will allow you to grasp the implications and provide direction and effective leadership. • You are a leader with substantial experience working with top management and a proven track record in strategic leadership. • Deep insights in the drilling/oil & gas industry. • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. • High level of integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters.
