In Global Development, we are responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction and support after products reach the market. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions to authorities while ensuring that the processes live up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. About the department A new department will be established and will become one of four departments in Clinical Operations, Semaglutide. The department will consist of a team of experienced and enthusiastic International Trial Managers, Clinical Trial Administrators and a Clinical Project Manager who together are responsible for planning and conducting clinical trials within the diabetes area, in close collaboration with other functional areas within Novo Nordisk and our affiliates all over the world. The job As Head of Department you will lead a team of 12 highly qualified employees whose responsibility it is to drive oral semaglutide trials within the PIONEER phase 3 programme. An important part of your job will be to manage relationships with key collaborators, including Novo Nordisk affiliates. It is essential that you are a natural leader, and can inspire and motivate others to deliver high quality results for global clinical trials within strict deadlines. You will report to the Vice President of Clinical Operations, Semaglutide and become a member of the Semaglutide ClinOp management team as well as the area Leadership Team. You will collaborate closely with the other managers in the area. You will take an active part in developing the area as well as a have an important role in various fora, improvement projects, including process optimisation and training. Qualifications You are a skilled line or project manager with solid drug development experience and knowledge of aspects related to clinical trials within the pharmaceutical industry. You have proven excellent people management skills and several years of experience as a line- or project manager. You hold an academic degree, preferably at master level, within natural sciences or healthcare. Naturally, you set direction, lead and motivate your team to deliver their best in a dynamic environment. In addition you have good stakeholder management capabilities and solid problem-solving capabilities. You are a clear communicator and can plan for both long- and short term tasks, while simultaneously managing strict project deadlines and your own workload.
