Head of Communication in Nordea Group Risk Management

Group Risk Management (GRM) is looking for an experienced, proficient and dedicated Head of Communication. You will have a pivotal role in building the strategy for Nordeas Risk Culture and you and your team will be directly responsible for GRM communication and the execution of group-wide risk related learning and development programs, including communication support to all GRM divisions. GRM Executive Management has decided to further strengthen the Risk Culture in Nordea. Communication and development are important components of that. Therefore, we have decided to consolidate our efforts in this area and we are looking for a dedicated person to create and lead this team. Proactivity, creativity, high quality and efficiency will be key words in this new team. The position we offer The team will be placed centrally in GRM, and you will report to the Head of Group Strategic Risk Management & Analysis. The team will cover all Nordic countries and you will be responsible for GRMs communication - both in and outside GRM - and group-wide risk awareness programs. This will cover all media platforms, including online training and our intranet. One of your first tasks will be to further develop and build the strategy for our Risk Culture across Nordea. Further, it will be your responsibility to facilitate the implementation of this strategy, including the creation of high quality communication and marketing for GRM, targeted to the right audience. Obviously, this needs to happen in close cooperation with the relevant stakeholders. GRM is Nordeas risk management function on a group level. It is responsible for Nordeas second line of defense for credit risk, market risk, and operational risk and covers approximately 500 people primarily located in the four Nordic countries. The qualifications you need We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record within communication and marketing and with a solid understanding of and experience in using communication tools and channels. You have a good business understanding and preferably also an understanding of risk management. We are looking for a person who is proactive, energetic and self-motivated. You should be a good listener, someone who is curious and open to input from others, with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organisation. You will need to be analytical as well as having a strategic and structured approach in your work. You should have appropriate people management experience and ability to lead across borders, preferably in a large organisation. You should have an academic Masters degree in relevant discipline and be fluent in English, both spoken and written. You can be located in any of the Nordic capitals.
