Unique opportunity for an experienced, technology-aware IT manager. The position we offer Based in Copenhagen, you will lead a software engineering team providing core IT services to Capital Markets IT. This includes the message bus, operational stores, shared software components and APIs, the business intelligence system and core of the data warehouse used for analysis and reporting. We are starting a major programme to simplify business and renew legacy IT components with a modern, high-performance and resilient suite of IT services together with a new data warehouse. Core Services IT will be the nervous system of the Finance and Risk value-chain, giving agility to respond quickly to future customer needs and secure compliance with coming regulatory changes. Teaming up with stakeholders in Capital Markets and Risk business areas as well as other IT teams, you will drive agile execution of projects in the simplification program. You will develop and lead a high performance software engineering team that delivers on Capital Markets strategy. You will be an ambassador for your team’s work and measure your success by its usefulness to others. Last, but not least, you will secure stable daily operations of the existing legacy systems and actively manage the major technology and the skills transformation needed to succeed. The qualifications you need You are an experienced IT leader, knowledgeable and confident with the latest technology, architecture, design and good software engineering practices. Maybe you started in a technical role before you stepped up to a management position. Perhaps you already work in the financial services industry and/or work with IT services, middleware or a data warehouse in your current role. You are inspired by the potential of web-scale projects such as Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop, mongoDB, Kafka, Spark, Docker and microservice architecture and either you are already working with some of these or you would like to. You are passionate about using technology to transform business and proud of your track record of using technology innovation to solve problems and create new opportunities.
