Engage people and help to transform a global leader in dermatology

 

 LEO Pharma is looking for an experienced manager to drive employee engagement and play a key role in our organizational transformation. You will be responsible for our global internal communication, including change communication with regards to our 2025 strategy, leadership communication, supporting the business areas and maintaining our internal corporate communication channels.

LEO Pharma has embarked on a growth journey to become the preferred dermatology care partner in the world, dedicated to helping people achieve healthy skin. It has recently introduced its 2025 strategy, which aims to accelerate its efforts in innovative therapeutics while strengthening its established portfolio and its global footprint in medical dermatology.

Dermatology is an area of rapid growth and LEO Pharma is rapidly changing from one that is focused on topical treatments, to being at the forefront of scientific advancements to help patients. To achieve our ambitious goals, we want to bring all 5,200 LEO people along the journey and the changes this requires from everyone to focus on the right things, collaborate, and work efficiently while preserving the unique parts of our company culture.

 Objectives

Global Communication and Public Affairs is responsible for corporate communication, public affairs, and corporate social responsibility. We are helping LEO Pharma achieve its mission of helping people achieve healthy skin by shaping its profile and engaging external stakeholders and employees. This includes internal communication.

As Head of Global Internal Communication you will be responsible for driving all aspects of internal corporate communication, with a specific focus on engaging LEO people worldwide in the 2025 strategy and the accompanying company transformation. This includes transformation communication, support for key projects, leadership support and employee information. It also includes managing and nurturing the internal communication channels like the global intranet, Pulse.

You will lead a team of 6 communication professionals, and be the hub for internal communication advice, to ensure consistent, effective and efficient communication. You will lead and build the internal communication community in the business functions. For this, your will work with stakeholders on all levels in the business functions on a global, regional and affiliate level.

Aside from leading the team and representing it within LEO, you will spend around 50% of your time driving key projects yourself, such as the support for the LEO Global Leadership Team in their communication.

You will report to the VP Global Communication and Public Affairs and be part of the Global Communication and Public Affairs Leadership Team. The position is based at LEO Pharma’s headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, near Copenhagen.

All in all your responsibilities will be to:

• Create and drive LEO Pharma’s global internal communication strategy, including strategy communication, employee engagement and communication channels
• Build and nurture strong relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
• Create and drive campaigns
• Lead and coordinate global communication activities
• Lead and coordinate the internal communication community
• Member of Global Communication & Public Affairs leadership team
• Lead a team of 6 people

 

Requirements

To take on this role sucsscessfully, we expect you to bring:

• 10+ years of experience in international corporate communication
• University degree
• Experience working at a senior level in a communication role within the pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing global programs to enhance employee engagement and strategic changes
• Ability to provide strong internal communication counsel to senior level leaders
• Ability to network and work with LEO Pharma leadership and internal stakeholders on all levels (global, regional, local)
• Diplomatic and presentation skills, advising senior management, and working with internal stakeholders without direct reporting lines. Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities, and demonstrated capacity to work effectively with all levels
• Experience in leading a team, managing budgets, and working with external vendors
• Strong external network with agencies, consultants, strategists
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently internationally
• Fluent level of English, other languages are an asset
