As our new colleague you will be part of the IT, Quality & Corporate Development area in Novo Nordisk. About the department The IT infrastructure department is part of IT Operations within Corporate IT in Novo Nordisk A/S which employs more than 400 highly skilled IT professionals in Denmark and India. IT Infrastructure in Novo Nordisk is growing rapidly reflecting a high managerial focus and activity level. The department ensures continuous development of a technology pipeline and project portfolio. The Job As Head of IT Infrastructure you will be referring to the Corporate Vice President of IT Operations, leading a team of 8 Infrastructure Architects each responsible for separate fields of technology. The job requires a very large degree of independence, innovation and initiative as you will be the main driver of IT Infrastructure strategies and have complete responsibility for a portfolio of IT Infrastructure projects of approximately 70 mDKK. The Head of IT Infrastructure is also chairman of the Global IT Operation Forum and has a variety of key stakeholders in upper management including the Global IT Board. The IT Operations 2015 Vision is to ensure world-class IT infrastructure and security, delivered efficiently and consistently, with focus on superior user experience. As Head of IT Infrastructure you will be part of the IT Operations Management team where you will play an active and engaging role in living up to our vision as well as drawing the ITO strategy and further development. Qualifications You hold a Master’s Degree within IT Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent. You come from a managerial position of similar kind and have a minimum of 15+ years of experience within IT with a large proportion of your experience relating to IT Infrastructure. It is expected that you have deep understanding of IT Infrastructure including (but not limited to): data centres, networks, servers, clients, mobility, unified communications, cloud and hosting environments. You possess a good cross-cultural understanding; have strong communication and interpersonal skills with vast experience from international working environments. Close cooperation with other areas within IT Operations such as IT Security, IT Architecture and IT Service Management is essential and you will be interacting with global stakeholders frequently including occasional travelling. Furthermore, you are analytical, structured, have a high level of drive and persistence and a high degree of self-awareness and act upon it. As a leader, you inspire and motivate and demonstrate true corporate mind-set. You have a high level of personal integrity and accountability and thrive in a fast moving and rapidly changing environment. You are fluent in spoken and written English.
