Ready for a career in wind power? As Head of R&D HW Development incl. Electronics, Power Electronics, Mechanics, Batteries and Panel Design, you will lead a global cross-disciplinary department and will participate in KK Generic Strategy Development, be responsible for the Department Strategy and setting the strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing daily management to a team of global specialist bachelor to Ph.D.’s. 
  • Ensure competence levels and competence roadmap for the department in line with KK Light House Strategy. 
  • Resource planning and allocation for on-going R&D- as well as customer projects. 
  • Facilitate the design of new innovative solutions and execute technical projects within the KK Project Model. 
  • Quality assurance of solutions developed in the department incl. test engineering. 
  • Product Life-cycle management on existing products. 
  • Budget planning and follow-up. 
  • Digitalize development processes. 

Strategic mindset and visionary leadership in a global market oriented business solutions environment You are expected to play an essential role in the deployment of our corporate strategy driving the HW and Mechanical product development and solutions accordingly. You will liaise with the entire organisation, a task that requires strong collaborative instincts, strategic experience and confidence in decision-making.   

Skilled R&D Manager with business acumen  With an enthusiastic driven mindset, you demonstrate inspiring and visible leadership, leveraging your vast experience and comprehensive understanding of technologies to accelerate innovation. Moreover, you possess: 

  • Successful track record and experience in building and leading global R&D teams. 
  • Visionary leadership skills, including ability to create a high-performance and winning culture. 
  • Expert industry knowledge and experience within both electrical and power systems, i.e. Wind Turbine Control and Power Systems. 
  • Experience with managing R&D in an environment with multi-country/cultural teams. 
  • Experience with cross-disciplinary development projects i.e. agile Project Management.(Software, Electronic, Power Electronic, Mechanical Design). 
  • Experience with Business Targeted R&D i.e. can do a business case on R&D projects. 
  • Profound experience with reliability engineering incl. technology test and verification. 
  • Experience with Transformation Management. 
  • Experience with external collaborations and funding. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to present to management and large groups.
