For the Transport & Logistics department within our Project Management, Offshore organization based in Vejle, Denmark, we are looking for a Head of Transport & Logistics to lead transport and logistics activities worldwide and thus ensure cost-competitive transport solutions from production to sites and back. What are my responsibilities? As a Head of Transport & Logistics you will be responsible for the transport budget. More specifically, your main responsibilities will cover: • Being responsible for the daily management of the department consisting of 2 different groups and 20 employees in total • Performing requests of proposal for transports and negotiating contracts with the subcontractors/partners to secure the logistical needs of the sites within the budget • Ensure transparency by system improvement and clear definition of responsibility • Ensure optimization of logistic processes to project sites, on projects sites as well as return processes • Ensure appropriate documentation related to import and export as well as other required documentation for transportation • Making and/or reviewing transport budgets on the base of project specific transport and logistics concepts for international projects, including risk management • Optimizing transport solutions, procedures and methods and developing all inbound procurement activities • Ensure that future transport and logistic strategies are developed and implemented What do I need to qualify for this job? • You have a strong background with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in transport and logistics of in global markets and have deep insight and experience in area of Export Control and Customs • You have advanced project as well as contract management skills and you have at least 5 years of successful experience in leading international teams • As a person you are analytical, decisive and result-oriented with noticeable intercultural, networking and team building skills • You are a good negotiator and you possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing . In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
