Copenhagen Local/Expat/International Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering Ref.: MO-034037 Identify and mature development opportunities, beyond currently applied field development concepts, both for the existing portfolio of fields and other undeveloped geological plays in Denmark. We Offer • The chance to gain and build in-depth knowledge about all type of oil and gas reservoirs in the Danish sector, and their conventional and novel development schemes. • Management of a section in the forefront of oil and gas technology and its applications • Be part of the leadership team in a mature producing area, spanning from exploration, new and infill developments and management of aging wells and assets. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate, steer and execute the maturation of a ‘tight’ oil project in the Danish North Sea • To assess the merits of CO2-EOR for the portfolio of fields, and support interactions with external stakeholders. • Keep abreast on and evaluate other and emerging EOR techniques. • Support and steer the newly established North Sea Hydrocarbon Research and Technology Centre in areas related to responsibility area. Support and coordinate other research initiatives (Joint Chalk Research Consortium, JIP’s, etc). • To mentor and develop G&G, RE and PT staff. • Be part of the Subsurface Leadership Team. • Budgeting and manpower planning in the area of responsibility Who we are looking for • In depth knowledge in a subsurface discipline. • Broad experience with both development planning and subsurface operations • Good business acumen • Creative mindset • Ability to ‘sell’ non-standard projects • Experience with external relationship management (partners, DEA) Maersk Oil is an international oil and gas company with operated production of about 650,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day offshore Denmark, UK and Qatar, as well as onshore Kazakhstan and Algeria.
