The High Voltage department is part of Vestas Power Solutions. The department is an essential contributor in making the current and future wind turbines more efficient and cost effective by developing the electrical power components as transformers, cables and switchgears. This is done by being responsible for development and maintenance of the components according to the full value chain requirements.

The daily work will be within a broad network of stakeholders and together with the electrical specialists you will set the standard for tomorrows design.

You will be a part of the High Voltage team consisting of 8 highly skilled engineers located in Denmark (Aarhus and Ringkøbing) and have close colleagues in Porto and Chennai.

Responsibilities

Conceptual design and creation of requirement specifications for High Voltage Transformers, Cables, Switchgears and other high voltage equipment
Conduct peer and technical reviews according to the design project model incl. supplier management and review of supplier's design
Set targets for how to qualify components and create test verification procedures
Approve supplier's tests and write test- and design verification reports
Approve test and validation of prototypes
Provide technical support to strategic purchaser in evaluating supplier performance
Implementation of equipment into the turbine platforms

Qualifications

B.Sc.E.E, M.Sc.E.E, B.Sc. in Marine Engineering or a degree in Service Engineering
Practical experience with high voltage equipment is preferred
Design experience with high voltage power systems will be an advantage
Experienced in writing design specifications and verification reports
Practical experience with project scoping, coordination and execution
