About the position:
At our Offshore Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department we are seeking for an experienced, innovative, self-driven HSE Technical Manager, with a passion for design, sales and project management. Does that sound like you?

What are my responsibilities?

As an HSE Technical Manager you will be promoting our mission to external and internal stakeholders of world class HSE. You will be fostering a culture where HSE is an integrated part of our designs and technical documentation in project sales and design phases.

This position requires approximately 50 traveling days per year.

Your responsibilities and duties will also include:

  • Responding to technical queries from Sales and reviewing the customer requirements relating to product safety and supporting negotiations.
  • Preparation and review of HSE contractual documentation
  • Supporting HSE due diligence and various HSE workshops on our products towards customers and authorities
  • Liaison with engineering design and sales teams, including product management, to ensure customer HSE related requests are handled
  • Production and maintenance of safety analysis, assessments and related safety documentation for projects until handover to project execution HSE Manager
  • Provide operational HSE support for upcoming tool, equipment and component design

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline is preferred but other technical skills, knowledge and experience will be considered. HSE/ Product Safety related education is an advantage (e.g. safety engineering, machinery safety, reliability engineering)
  • Experience from Construction/ Engineering Industry or other related high-risk industry, preferably from the Offshore Wind Industry
  • Solid experience with operational HSE and international HSE legislation such as the Machinery Directive/ CE Marking, Pressure Equipment Directive, LV Electrical Directive etc. and other industry specific standards such as EN 50308
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative risk evaluation and assessment methodologies.
  • Detailed understanding of HAZID
  • Experience in negotiations, multi-contracting in large projects and an appreciation of how contracts are inter-related and dependent with highly professional Customers - highly desirable.
  • IT literacy is essential with familiarity in using software such as Design review, Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and document storage systems such as SharePoint.
