Do you have a sound understanding of fundamental machine components and hydraulic? Are you newly graduated from a M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or a Master in Mechatronics or do you have 2-5 years' experience with a larger organisation dealing with complex products? Then maybe you are the candidate we are looking for. Rotor, Tower & Control > Rotor Engineering > Hub The Hub Engineering department is responsible for providing technologies, competences, components and system solutions in the areas of blade pitching, Hub design and service. The international team is located both in Denmark and abroad still expanding to meet the demands of a vastly growing challenging business. Responsibilities As a Hub development engineer your main focus will be to: Design hubs with pitch system and components into a large and complex product i.e. wind turbines; Work closely together in cross functional teams and in cooperation with international suppliers to provide optimum solutions; Verify pitch systems and components by a wide range of test and calculation methods from aerospace and automotive; Implement pitch systems and components into production; Contribute to the development of future turbines by conduction of decoupled technology developments; Participate in estimating component life time; Monitor performance of pitch systems on all installed turbines. Furthermore your main responsibilities will be: Identify requirements to the pitch system from top level specification; Define interfaces to the other systems; Design and specify components like cast components, hydraulic power unit, cylinders, electrical motors for extreme and fatigue loads; Establish test protocols based on expected operation; Influence and drive reliability-centred design decisions based on data; Deploy solutions into specific turbine developments Act as system owner towards a specific turbine range i.e. evaluate change needs and proposals due to performance, cost or quality Qualifications We are looking for a M.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or a Master in Mechatronics. Furthermore you have: Sound understanding of fundamental machine components and hydraulic; Developed experience in simulation using FEA methods; Preferably 2-5 years experience with a larger organisation dealing with complex products; Ability to and interest in documenting your work in English Competencies As a person you are independent but also able to work as a part of a team.
