Can you enable a transition to IT based solutions that will help us solve complex indirect tax challenges?

 

Join us in a newly created position as Indirect Tax Technology Specialist in Indirect Tax, where you’ll work with the latest IT technology to implement best practice processes, find solutions to complicated VAT scenarios and mitigate risk exposure of our indirect tax globally.

 

You’ll act at as our spearhead towards IT and cooperate closely with colleagues in the team and the IT department to take the digitisation and automation of our indirect VAT processes and IT set-up to the next level. Your first task will be to map our current VAT processes up against our IT landscape and identify potential areas of IT system support improvement. We use SAP ERP, so experience with SAP is an advantage.

 

Tax is part of our company-wide Finance department and is responsible for tax across the business, including domestic and international corporate taxes, joint taxation, tax forecasting, structuring, transfer pricing and indirect taxes. You’ll report directly to the Head of Indirect Tax and be part of a wider team of 30 colleagues in Denmark, the UK, US and Germany.

 

Your key tasks will be to

• take active part in the design, implementation and maintenance of indirect tax technology and further development and prioritisation of our IT roadmap
• maintain VAT derivations
• take part in controlling functionality
• create the basis for real-time reporting and controls of transactions at time of entry into SAP
• participate in RFPs and gather tax requirements.

In addition, you’ll perform root cause analysis of process issues and resolve these issues. You’ll document and perform user acceptance testing as well as gather and analyse business requirements from stakeholders.

 

Your competences include that you

• have a relevant education and/or experience from an IT department or within accounting or indirect tax 
• have a solid understanding of VAT determination in an ERP system, preferably SAP 
• have good interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset combined with a team player spirit and a structured approach to tasks
• are proficient in English.
