At GN Hearing’s Concept Factory, you will join an innovative playground. Using cutting-edge technologies and collaborating directly with our end users, you will develop the designs and design strategies that maintain our position as a market leader. 

As one of just two industrial designers across our 3 brands, you will have ample opportunity to see your brainchild come to life.

We design the sound of tomorrow
At our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark, you will become the 4th team member of our Concept Factory. As part of GN Hearing, it is our responsibility to develop the concepts and design the products for all GN Hearing brands – ReSound, Beltone and Interton. By designing user-friendly hearing aids, we transform lives through the power of sound.

Develop brand-aligned product concepts
Together with your industrial designer colleague, you strengthen the product identities of the GN Hearing brands and develop our design concepts throughout the entire product development process – from initial idea to product launch. Specifically, you:

• Lead physical design and concept ideation and design products in collaboration with stakeholders
• Contribute to GN Hearing’s industrial design strategy and help set the strategic and visual framework for future product designs
• Create and maintain holistic design identities across products, brands and communication channels in cross-organizational collaboration with Digital, Packaging Design and Project Management 
• Manage and participate in design sprints with your team and workshops with product stakeholders, including hearing aid users
  
You get to travel 5-10 days a year, primarily to the USA and China.

Design experience with consumer electronics or medical devices
You excel at teamwork, and you accept – and offer – help and constructive criticism as you know that the best designs are created jointly. You thrive at the earliest stages of concept development and are not discouraged by the time it takes before your design goes into production. Moreover:

• You have experience as an industrial designer within consumer electronics and/or medical devices and know the special conditions that apply when designing products for people
• You have previously designed products in plastics and metals and used different decoration technologies, and you are familiar with the design constraints associated with these materials 
• You use design tools at a high level
• You speak and write English effortlessly
