We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Operations Expert ready to take on the challenges of a Team Lead role in the Unix Platforms unit. You may have a background in Unix/Linux System or Database Administration, or from working in technology areas related to Unix/Linux environments, and are looking for opportunities to grow in a rapidly developing IT landscape. The position we offer UNIX Platforms is part of IT Operations and we are responsible for supporting Nordea’s business applications and internal IT services with stable IT solutions. Here we use the latest technology, and you will be part of a strategic operational business unit with employees in Copenhagen (DK), Stockholm (SE) and Gdynia (PL). Our unit provides the Operating System and system software support for approximately 5000 Unix and Linux servers (Linux, Solaris, AIX, IBMi). We are responsible for keeping the systems compliant to policies and standards, both internal and public regulatory. Our work is guided by a general Process Framework, and the work with adapting and optimizing our procedures and work items to this framework is performed in the team in cooperation with IT Process Management. In this position you will drive execution and participate in: •Describing Unix Platforms requirements on solutions being developed in Infrastructure unit. •Represent Unix Platforms standpoint in discussions on IT Strategy and to internal governing bodies to ensure standardization and simplification of the operation environment. •Analysing enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to plan / optimise Operation’s resource allocation, procedures and work flow. •Analysing the current Operation environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, by ensuring Operation stability to support Nordea’s vision of a great customer experience. •Advise on security measures to protect the data, reliability, and integrity of the infrastructure. •Communicate global architectures and solutions via detailed documentation hereby ensuring knowledge sharing and continuous development. •Represent the team at Design/Planning meetings ensuring knowledge sharing between Operations, Infrastructure, and Business IT areas. •Be responsible for maintaining compliance levels with governing authorities ensuring that Nordea lives up to the stated requirements. •Provide performance troubleshooting with relevant tools across platforms and technologies ensuring availability and stability. The position can be located in Sweden, Denmark or Poland. The qualifications you need We are looking for someone who has an interest in coordination and development of a process oriented organization and contributing to its maturation in direction of a service oriented delivery. You have the ability to make others feel confident, and you find great value in motivating team members to take responsibility and ownership. Sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as having an open mind, is essential in your personality. To succeed in the role we further believe that you: •Have a relevant higher education and at least 5 years’ experience from a senior Unix/Linux specialist role, with experience from a large or medium sized international company. •Enjoy creating solutions and driving development in an enterprise context that ensures stability, continuity, and quality. •Have a business oriented approach and a problem solving mind. •Are an excellent communicator and are able to get your point across in a large organisation. •Have a service oriented approach, where you enjoy helping and inspiring your colleagues.
