Do you strive in working with both internal and external senior stakeholders? Then you could be our Innovation Scout in Device Research & Development (R&D) at Novo Nordisk.

 

About the department

You will be part of Front End and External Innovation in Device R&D which is located in Hillerød, just north of Copenhagen. The unit is responsible for driving early technology projects and external innovation efforts. The unit consists of enthusiastic and ambitious professionals with experience from all parts of device development, as well as drug development and marketing.

 

The position

As a Scouting Specialist, you drive scouting for external medical device technology by identification, proposing, planning and evaluation of external opportunities. Notably, your area of focus is within protein delivery devices, diabetes care devices, digital health technology, and related technology.

 

Besides, you demonstrate a solid understanding of latest and emerging technology within medical devices and contribute to the department strategy and direction. You are proactive in business development, relationship handling with external partners and ensuring compliance to operating procedures and regulations. With your proactiveness combined with your collaborative skills, you deliver a smooth commercial negotiation process with external partners.

 

Moreover, you ensure that partnering processes are implemented and are updated to match current needs of the department. Above all, your suggestions on external technology in-licensing opportunities and partnerships have a significant impact on the innovation taking place in your area.

 

Qualifications

You hold a Master's degree in a technical field preferably a PhD and/or combined with relevant business education. Equally, you have 5+ years of solid experience within medical device business internationally. In addition, you are expected to have minimum 2 years of experience working with company partnerships. Your experience working with assessing market potential in medical device and technology projects will be an advantage.

 

With your strong communication skills, you successfully manage relations with external partners. Subsequently, you are an analytical person, your ability to negotiate and collaborate gives you an edge. As a matter of fact, your approach is comprehensive and truly global.

 

Above all, you have an expert level knowledge of the device and drug delivery fields from a market, industry, product, and technology perspective.
