Can you plan and ensure the development of construction work processes throughout the Vestas value chain? Do you have the overview to ensure that requirements from the operational business are included in the wind turbine design & tools design? Then you might be our new Installation Development Engineer in Vestas "Transport & Handling Processes" which is accountable for developing and optimizing work processes and tools for Transport, Installation and Maintenance of wind turbines. Technology & Service Solutions (TSS) - Nacelle, Power & Handling - Transport & Handling Processes "Transport & Handling" (T&H) is a part of "Technology & Service Solutions" (TSS), located within the R&D organization in Vestas. The department is accountable for developing and maintaining standard work processes and tools for transportation, installation and maintenance of wind turbines. In relation to construction our responsibilities are: •Development of construction concepts for new WTG products in collaboration with WTG designers •Ensure that market requirements and best practice is included in the WTG design •To drive new product developments to ensure WTG design enables cost optimized construction solutions and ensure full value chain perspective in new products •Optimization of construction in terms of cost reduction and quality improvements •Collection of improvement suggestions and best practice from a range of stakeholders Responsbilities Your main responsibilities will be: •Plan and ensure development of construction work processes for new wind turbines •Ensure that requirements from the operational business are included in the wind turbine design & tools design Qualifications •At least 5 years of proven experience within installation, maintenance or other handling of wind turbines or other large components •Educated in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering (or similar) •Experience in development of processes or concepts for larger components in either wind or maritime industry or similar •Certification or training in project management or planning is an advantage •Knowledge about wind turbine technology, systems and service is preferred Competencies •Knowledge about 3D-Modeling or conceptual study experience •Understanding of risk assessment tools •An additional certification in Six Sigma or similar is an advantage •Good communication and presentation skills in English, both written and verbal •Capable of cooperating with colleagues in a professional and positive manner •A proactive mindset and ability to keep an overview in stressed situations What we offer We offer you an exciting and challenging job in a dynamic work environment.
