About the department Product Supply in Novo Nordisk is seeking an engaged student for a salaried full-time internship in DMS Logistics & QC in a period of 4-6 months commencing August 2015. Product Supply is an organization with more than 10,000 employees located in Denmark, China, Brazil, France and USA. Product Supply is responsible for all production in Novo Nordisk and delivery of products to our sales affiliates or directly to major customers. Device Manufacturing and Sourcing (DMS) in Hillerød is a production site responsible for delivering components worldwide. The job As a part of the Logistic & QC department in DMS, the Component Planning and Purchasing team are consisting of 9 colleagues. We are responsible for the planning and purchasing of plastic components that go into most devices in the Novo Nordisk product portfolio and we coordinate the dispatch to our customers within Novo Nordisk on a global scale. We work to enable stable supply and high performance in the supply chain. We have focus on proactive communication with our stakeholders to secure the best alignment possible across functions. During your internship you will be responsible for a number of operational tasks e.g. updating logistic KPI’s and participating in problem solving. Furthermore you will be responsible for an improvement project to be defined in collaboration with your manager and team, which can link to your study program. Qualifications We are looking for an intern, who is passionate about initiating and driving continuous improvements in an international supply chain. You are analytical, have visibility, structured and comfortable with managing your own time and deliverables. As a person you are outgoing with strong personal drive and dedication. You have an interest in logistic processes supporting a manufacturing environment. You have a professional and personal impact that is reflected in your result-oriented way of dealing with tasks and you have a desire to make a true difference. In addition, you are ambitious and like to be challenged. LEAN knowledge is a benefit but not a pre-requisite. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Practicalities Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their master studies. Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.
